Academics & Admissions
Why study with us?
Our programs critically examine educational policy. Understood broadly, educational policy is formal and informal systems that implicitly and explicitly constitute what is taught, how it is taught and who receives and benefits from these systems. If you study in this field, you will have the potential to become an influential researcher working to critically understand formal and informal educational discourses, especially those constitutive of race, class, gender and sexual orientation inequities.

You may be prepared for university teaching and for educational research in school systems, government and industry. Or you might be employed in such diverse areas as college and university teaching, local, state and federal governments, private consulting, national testing and research corporations and various sectors of business.
